UI Progress (08-2024 W1)


Made a lot of progress on the UI front, having implemented the basics of several menus such as those for settings, the player’s inventory, etc. After implementing transitions between those, I decided to start working on the inventory system. Thought about making it so that each character gets their own inventory (like in Golden Sun), but for the time being, I decided to go with the usual JRPG approach: everyone sharing the same sets of items.

Not sure if the initial release will actually have any non-regular items, but hey. Figured it'd be best to code in tabs for those anyway. And with the inventory sys as it is, one of the main things on the agenda going forward will be the audio-management sys. That one is already mostly implemented; it just needs a little more polish before being shown to the public.
