UI Framework & Menus (07-2024 W1)


I've found setting up UI to be a bit of a tedious process, so I've decided to look into stuff that’ll make things go faster. After some searching, I ran into Flexalon UI. I’ve found it to be easier to work with than Unity’s built-in UI sys, and the support’s surprisingly nice. Much respect to Virtual Maker! ^^

Now here’s a prototype of the Djinn Menu.

I’ve managed to make it programmatically set up the Djinn lists based on what’s assigned to the current party members. The icons are also set based on the Djinns’ elements and the last one the player hovered over. Just like with Golden Sun, you can reassign Djinn to different party members so you can customize their builds.


You might’ve also noticed how the elements are represented by stars. Golden Sun fans can probably guess why xD
